Fort McHenry National Monument gives visitors the chance to walk around an historic battleground, and also features a visitor center and daily flag programs. Fort McHenry was a key strategic site during the War of 1812, helping defend Baltimore Harbor from the advancing British Army on Chesapeake Bay. The Fort is located south of downtown Baltimore, near Latrobe Park.
Open daily, early Sep - late May: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; late May - early Sep: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults $7; Children 15 and under are free.
