The fascinating B & O Railroad Museum celebrates the real-life Baltimore & Ohio (B & O) Railroad, more than just a property in the Monopoly game, it is considered the very birthplace of American railroading. Museum visitors are met with a comprehensive collection of actual locomotives and rolling stock, including the finest exhibit of 19th century steam locomotives anywhere. The museum exhibits an extensive array of smaller artifacts as well, such as lanterns, dining car china and communication devices, offering a multi-faceted look at one of the America's great historic industries. Conveniently located near the heart of Baltimore, the site lies less than a mile from the popular Babe Ruth Museum.
